Mud Slide Sweet Shoppe and Cafe started with a simple idea: make ice cream the way it's supposed to be made — slowly, carefully, and with ingredients you can actually pronounce.

Tucked along Highway 177 on the edge of Cape Girardeau, we've become the kind of spot locals bring out-of-town guests to. It's equal parts ice cream parlor, coffee corner, and somewhere your kids can make a mess without anyone judging.
